Moss has been working in Papua New Guinea (PNG) since 2016, with some time spent working remotely in Canada. He has written a grammar of the Tami language and been highly involved in training Papua New Guinean translators through the Discover Your Language course at the Pacific Institute of Language, Arts, and Translation (PILAT). He also assists expat translators in writing grammars for some of the hundreds of languages of PNG. Moss was educated at the Canada Institute of Linguistics and is now a Linguistic Consultant-in-Training.

In 2023, Moss married Laura. A native of Mexico, Laura has administrative skills and a heart for helping people. There are many ways she can help the Bible translation movement in PNG.
